Saw plenty of head accidents too...all could have been lessened by simply wearing a helmet.

Never been able to understand why anybody would ever ride without full coverage. You ever hit a bumble bee, or any bug for that matter, at 60 MPH? You've seen how they look on your windshield.

A june bug at 70 will break your nose. A quick hail storm will rip your skin off just like the road. I could go on---

"Holy shit, what a ride.",eh.

You must post a picture of your scarecrow.

I can see them poking each other and snickering. Some of them almost falling off of their perches. Then hooting and hollering when they see the scarecrow. Tune in for Part II.

Last year, a rock hit the windshield of our truck and cracked it. Immediately, I thought of the damage it could do to a motorcyclist. Could not begin to imagine. Stay safe.

Crows are extremely intelligent. Check out the studies they have done with them. Abstract thinking, use of tools, it's pretty amazing. They even developed a Crow "vending machine". The crows learned if they dropped a penny in, it would dispense a peanut.

I think it would be cool to teach a flock of them to retrieve dollars for peanuts. Couldn't you picture a crow swooping down and raiding a tip jar somewhere and bringing it back to me for a peanut!? I could get rich I tell ya!

If I saw a flock coming at me, I would hand over my purse.

We have a half dozen bird feeders at the house. I am not amused by crows. I fed them last year-the corpses of 18 woodchucks. Haven't had any woodchuck problems this year. I can usually nail 2 crows with one #6. We will see who wins this year......

I will give them a fair chance and provide cracked corn and other stuff to eat. If they attack my sweet corn instead, they are toast. I will annihilate them and spare no quarter.

I gotta work on the 4th, but we're gonna grill steaks on the 3rd. Pat's Niece and Niece's daughter are here until the 4th. Going fishing this evening.
