Im in fact goingto Denver for the day only on the 13th. I will be with a group of doctors so It's a no party trip. Then thursday I go to Balsam Lake Wisconsin to practice for a Bass fishing tournament which is held on Saturday. Sunday morning I will get up and drive to the Eagle River area to meet Kim and the kids for a week...........Drive home, clean up the boat and head back up to Balsam Lake for another tournament the next weekend. I love my job.

We're hitting the water slides tomorrow. Wish me luck. The last time I did this my back got thrashed. I should have thought to pre-schedule a doctors appointment ahead of time for Tuesday......just in case.

It depends on what you're fishing for...

...but either way, it sounds like you might need a bigger boat

I'll be at the Top Spot thursday late for dinner and Friday nite for drinks. We may be at the Thirsty Otter or Paradise Landing for a bit also. Where do you stay?

Best HS friend's family own a big chunk of shoreline on the north side of the lake; north of the channel. They have most of this little jut of a peninsula, with docks on both the south and the west side of it. The whole point is surrounded in lily pads. We always mean to go fishing in the kayaks in all the little bays up there, but get sidetracked in tandem tubing wars and shotgun beer contests.

There are four cabins on the property, we "kids" stay in the oldest, built back in the 50's. Very rustic, very true to form log cabin. Outhouse to be used and everything!

We usually try to get one big pontoon ride in with all of us split between two boats (usually about 20 of us). Try to hit Paradise at least once, but it's usually just a potty break if the water is too cold to just jump in and let it go.

It must be in Wood Bay or is it on the northwest corner by the highway?.

It's on the far north finger of the lake. According to Google maps, it's the long part on the north side of Boston Bay. Usually filled with skiers and wakeboarders doing laps around the long, skinny, secluded part of the lake, but it looks like it'd be nice fishing too.

I don't know the names of all the bays though.

That is Little Balsam. The Channel Narrows from Boston Bay going into Little Balsam. Is it the point on the west side of the channel? If so, I know the property. I have been going up there for years.

Yep, that's it. I remember the owners calling it that now that you said the name.

The property is on the north shore. Heading north out of the channel, you turn left to go northwest. If you're heading northwest with the lake, it's on the right side, about halfway up the shoreline. The right shoreline makes a 90 degree turn to the right. They have that whole point and most of the shoreline that faces due west until it straightens out again.

Let's see...
On Friday night I got drunk.
On Saturday night I got a new laptop.
On Sunday night I sat on the stoop and listened to fireworks and got eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Not amazing. Not bad, either, I suppose.
