I have heard of that being done, a GF moved out on her cheating rat of a boyfriend- but it was a can of sardines. She hid it in a furnace vent. Poor guy....almost felt a bit sorry for him, thinking of how bad that must have stunk up the apartment.

My friend put dead newts in the pockets of her ex boyfriend's suits as he was moving out. He hardly ever wore suits so I imagine it took a long time for him to find them. I still chuckle everytime I see him.

Great-thanks for asking! And it really sounds like it will be permanent. Everone is saying the guy I am replacing (off on disability) is going to retire and not come back.

I love that I can wear jeans everyday, do a bunch of different interesting things, be autonomous, work with mostly men (BIG bonus) , and 99% of the time I am on the surface and not underground. Pay is amazing, OT is double time and I have a carpool of mostly cool people (the only other woman is the only mildly annoying one, she's a bit of a prig).

What's not to like!? oh yeah....getting up at 5:30 AM ...that is taking a bit of getting used to!

I go down into the mine tomorrow on a tour. 3200 feet down. Gulp.

I will take pictures and do a little report. Some may find it a bit interesting.
