This reminds me!! One of my few great life's accomplishments is that I have never ever watched an episode of "Matlock" A fact I am most proud of

The other day I was working at a skilled nursing facility and I was walking through the Alzheimer's unit. All the residents were gathered around watching a Matlock marathon...............I think I foresaw my own destiny

I did know about the tomato juice, but we didn't have any and were desperate. "Appears" mouthwash works well too with no staining. (so the internet says to a desperate dog mom)

I got trapped in our outhouse down at our summer cottage. I had opened the door to head back to the house, when I caught a flash of black and white on the path. Yep, it was a mother skunk and her two kittens. Needless to say, I ducked back into the dunny. The little buggers played out there for about half an hour. I tried making noise, in hopes of scaring them off, but they weren't having any of it. They finally waddled off. My folks were thinking I had fallen in.

Thats kinda funny, Bumper. An outhouse sure doesn't sound like a fun place to be trapped in. I guess it does beat your alternative at the time though.

I watch that show all the time now cuz my boyfriend loves it, in reruns of course. What do you mean what happened to her, are you talking about her weight gain? It's been awhile but I do remember seeing something on TV about her gaining weight after having a baby and having a hard time getting it off.

That seems excessive for 'baby weight'?

Especially for an actress, don't they usually gain a lot less?

I thought maybe she was having some other issues, something with her health maybe....but no, it says just baby weight gain. Sounds like she lost it again though, so good for her.

Edit: this is her today....looking better than ever! she gained 80 pounds it said.

She has resources us 'normal' people don't have, like personal trainer, nutritionist and more time to spend working out, since she doesn't have a 9-5 job like most of us. That probably makes a big difference.
I like that she doesn't look really, really skinny like so many of the models and actresses. She looks fit and healthy. IMO.

I guess it all depends on genetics and whatever her fitness routine was after giving birth. No doubt it was photoshopped. Either way, she had to have been moving to drop the weight.

Actually, I have no idea how soon that photo was taken after delivering her baby.

I have no idea how soon after she had the baby it was taken either....or at what point the show I saw last night was filmed....maybe she had just HAD the baby.

and yeah, of course it was photoshopped, that is a given.

But the fact is, she gained 80 pounds and then lost it, no idea how long it took, it doesn't matter.

It was just a shock to see the difference, since I rarely watch the show. Don was exclaiming about it and I was sticking up for her, and then I was like, oh yeah, you are right, she did get really big!

I read they never addressed it on the show, and it was like there was an elephant in the room...so to speak.

Seems odd they wouldn't make it part of the story line, but how to do that was maybe a bit tricky? They should have had them have a child.

Some women bloat up during pregnancy, as well. So, that is something to consider. They weight and appearance can change quickly after giving birth. Not to mention, she might have been blessed with good elasticity, thus no stretch marks. Sure, they could have been photoshopped out, but there are plenty of women who breeze through pregnancy without much visible sign of ever being pregnant, once they get their tone back. 80 pounds is a lot to lose. Good for her!
