You're welcome! You can always switch it around too. So, say you do your taxes and get a ton of money back, you adjust your filing to give you more monthly income rather than IRS sitting on your funds. This can be applied in the opposite situation as well.

speaking of sharts, my friend and i were at a mets game when i dropped my bridge on the field
i had to ask the security guy to give it back to me
he laughed so hard he had to throw his underwear away
he did get a foto of his soiled drawers in the trashcan

a shart to remember, folks

i remember the first time I saw a cow shart. It amused the hell outta me.

Not sure how much Dizzy wants shared here, but she is due any day now, I do believe. I think she originally said her due date was Dec 10th or so...

I grew up rural. Half of my classmates lived on working farms, most had livestock, mainly hogs. I don't think I could count the number of times we would head over to a friends house one night to hang out and arrive to discover that one of the hog barns had broken open (gate usually accidentally unlocked or something stupid) and their yard was filled with roaming pigs. The night's itinerary immediately changed to changing into borrowed farm clothes and tackling pigs all night to round them back up. When tackling pigs, they can usually be pretty scared a let a little slip out at the same time. Gotta remember to tackle up near the neck rather than the hind legs

Looking at the adoptable cats at the Toledo shelter.

I've come across a few that say "this cat would do well in a home without other cats," and think maybe that would be ideal. None of them say, "this cat doesn't mind being alone during the day."

I guess I should go in and talk to the shelter folks. I know that I won't leave without a kitty, though. I wonder if I should wait till after I start my new job...

I don't think any cats mind being left alone during the day, they just sleep most of the time!

It's very sweet that you are adopting from a shelter. No time like the present. why wait?! Cats are easy!

I can't think of the hundreds of animals that are put down here every week. So sad.

I grew up in a rural area too, Nick...no pig catching experience, only chickens. I hate chickens, pecky lil bastards.

I have fond memories of growing up on a farm. Playing in the bale stacks, in the quonset in the massive pile of grain....having a fort out in the back forty and playing out there with neighbour kids....riding my bike to my neighbour Jodi's to play and getting grasshoppers in the face on the way....

thanks for the Diz info- I hope she comes and fills us in after the baby is born!

All the pics online are tempting me, they all look ready to move in! I will get one from the same shelter that Gracie came from. Hey, do boy cats spray if they are neutered?

Since my parents stole my dog, I really want to get a pet that doesn't mind being alone. I have lots of windows and a great breezeway for spring, summer and fall weather, so I think a cat would be happy (at least one that likes quiet, no kids, and can be the queen bee of the house).

My boy cats didn't spray once they were neutered. I think a cat would be perfect for you.

It's best to get male cats neutered when they as soon as they are old enough. If thet get neutered when they are older, they will spray, but you can cure them of this by squirting them with water.

Mell, I think you should get two. They can keep each other company while you are gone. They will sleep in a cat pile. Love that.

Awwwwwww.

But I don't know about two cats. That seems like a lot of poop and pee for indoor animals and I have a small house.
