Yeah, but as someone who lives and works in a tourist community- I definitely get jealous of my friends who come here for vacation when I'm stuck at work (much as I love my job) Can't wait for the report, beerdude

Sounds good, Stephen- way to book that flight! When are you going and for how long?

Funny how that works, huh, Sara....I have heard peeps living in Playa who work there complain about never getting to the beach. I think that is the case wherever you live, there are lots of touristy things around Saskatoon like our Folk Festival, Jazz and Blues Festival, Fringe festival, museums, etc. that we never go to. We really should make more of an effort.

We are having a warm spell here ....it's actually been a really nice winter, here so far. For here, of course, that is. Not a ton of snow and really not that cold either.
It was above zero C (freezing point) yesterday and the snow is melting....was a bit slippery on the highway on the way to work this morning in spots, but not bad.

When I firstmoved to this area I promised myself that I would never take for granted the beauty of the area. My drive home each day goes along the water with an incredible vied of the Hood canal and the Olympic mountains. I ride an early morning farry into Seattle with the sound and the Seattle skyline that is spectacular. My new job is on top of a hill in west Seattle with million dollar views all around. Some days you can see the Cascades the Olympic's and all the sound.
Some days I barely take the time to notice any of it

On a lighter note and I am sure a little in TMI category.

I viewed some female body builder porn This was some of the most disturbing stuff I have ever seen

I think we ALL eventually take for granted where we live.

I try to be positive and appreciative, always.

Not always easy in the dead of winter, with whiners and moaners crying about the dark and the cold constantly.

I do think it would be a lot easier to be appreciative of the scenery if I lived where you do! Although not the weather.

I really don't want to picture that porn. Ew ew ew.

Wow!! He looks pretty good for 70. Funny how he looks older in the video though.

So, I thought I found the dress I wanted...I saw it and left the store and thought about it all day, then went back and tried it on and basically it was too big....but now I'm still thinking about it and wondering if I shouldn't just buy it and try to have it altered....even if it doesn't end up working out, do you think it would be worth the approximately $50 it costs as a potential? There are things I really loved about it.

How much too big is it? Dresses can realistically be taken in about 2 sizes before the seamstress is basically re-cutting the dress.

It's really only a size or two too big, and I was wondering if the fabric on the bottom half could be taken in so it's not quite so poofy. It's an all-cotton dress with what seems like lots of extra fabric in the bottom half. I think it could be done?
