That is what they tell me....luckily we don't know them from hockey but it sounds like everyone, and I mean everyone, hates them.

They have two sons, and apparently at one time he had high hopes for them being NHL material, but they really aren't, and that is still smarting a bit. He is the coach and SO tough on the kids, but as you know, it's hard to find coaches, so they put up with him.

I actually have it easy compared to the hockey parents, since we really don't have to talk much in the carpool. I really feel badly for them.

They moved here from Alta, Jo- and their house in Sundre is still for sale....for 9 months now......which also explains his bad attitude, I am sure. That would be stressful.

This is such BULLSHIT!! ( not you baby) Sports are always supposed to be fun, especially for kids. The one that are tough, loud and mean are the worst coaches. Kids do not respond to that crap.
I have refused to let my boys play for certain coaches and have made it very clear to a few other to NEVER talk to my sons that way again. Any parent that would let their child be abused by a coach.....well you know

I totally agree with you...I said the same thing to my friends who were complaining about him. They coach, as well, just different age groups. Sports ARE supposed to be fun...hockey in particular often sounds like it gets WAY too serious around here. Makes me a bit glad I don't have to deal with it, actually.

Your boys play(ed) lacrosse, right? It is getting more and more popular around here.

My twins are both seniors, one plays lacrosse and the other baseball. The oldest does not play anymore, but I have dealt with at least two coaches per year for each of them for the last ten years.
The best coaches were always the ones they liked, not A-holes. Nothing wrong with a coach that makes them work hard, just has to show respect. Just like teachers. Again, I cant believe parents that let people abuse their kids.
