Sorry to read that about your father, Ron. Hopefully you can get to spend some quality time with him at this time.

Say, has anyone heard of these silent whistles you can put on the front of your car to ward off bounding deer? I hit one on my way to work yesterday. It felt like a big impact, and when I pulled over I was expecting her to be lodged underneath my jeep. Nothing. No blood, no body. Just a small dent on my license plate. I hope she made it.

Paranoid now. I was enjoying my country commute, now I'm looking for deer everywhere. And who knew it is "deer season????"

Those whistles do not work.

I saw video where a few trucks equipped with them drove by a field full of deer in Utah. Deer didn't move, not even to look at the trucks

If your question is about the deer whistles ?..I dont think they work, I think they are bs and I have never wasted my cash on them.thats my opinion FWIW.... and Yes its Deer Season in most parts of the country .. Bow season opened Oct 1st.. and runs until the end of Feb...

I have lived around deer country for more than 30 yrs and knock on wood I haven't hit one yet .. i have had some close calls ...and I have seen some really really bad accidents envolving deer ..

Best advice -- Dawn and Dusk are the 2 times to be extra vigilant and maybe go a little slower when driving roads in wooded areas .. which where I live is everywhere

Don't worry there are plenty of people trying to thin the population over they next few months ..

The exact times of my commute to and from home. All rural county roads, too.

Do you think if there was no blood or body that she went back into the woods and lived?
