Why are firemen so attractive? Some of the firemen from the station that is near where I buy groceries shop there too. All of them are handsome. They drive up in that big ole truck. *sigh*

The firemen who hauled me out of the dog park when I broke my leg were very cute. There for a minute, I forgot how much my leg hurt.

You are right! That is it, he is a volunteer fireman, I asked about it at dinner. His English is amazingly good! They must take it in school. The older engineer's English was not nearly as good.

Is it weird that I was idly wondering where Joana lives in Germany and thinking they would make a cute couple?? I know she has a BF now, anyway. But how silly is that!?

Edit: And yes, they certainly are cute, firemen. It appeals to our deep seated desire to be damsels in distress, maybe??

A 100-lb Lego man washed up onto the beach at Siesta Key, Fla., this week, baffling local residents.

Jeff Hindman told the blog Boing Boing that he snapped this photo of the fiberglass statue when he discovered it on the beach.

Curiously, this is not the only reported instance of a giant beached Lego figure on record. In 2007, a similar statue washed ashore in Holland, and a year later another one surfaced in Brighton, England.

Interesting Mell.

Did you see the recent footage of the garbage from the Tsunami?

I live one a very narrow one lane road that is a 45 degree turn off of another one lane road. Some truck driver with huge moving truck went up and then tried to back down my street. The truck trailer is high centered now and the wheels of the tractor are off the ground. Both roads are blocked and I had to park down the road and walk home.......No big, but I don't want to walk to my truck at 4AM

Why, because you will be half asleep and tired...... or because it is dangerous?

and no, what footage from the tsunami? I am assuming you mean that Lego man was from Japan? Wait, that is impossible.

I don't think it was silly. There's a connection with them both living in Germany. I probably would have thought of something like that as well.

I agree with supersponge. Decorate now. Never too early in my book.

Has anyone had a mammogram where they call you back for more pictures? What to expect?

I'm postponing X's application for benefits until he turns 21. The new case manager is telling me that is probably our best option. It would have been nice had someone told me this 6 months ago. My income has not changed significantly in several years, and the county knew my income from the get-go.

My sister has been called back. They did another mammogram and then an ultrasound. It was decided just a benign lump. I know sometimes if they can't determine, they will biopsy them.

Thanks. I'm not going to worry about it until there is a reason to worry.

That is a good attitude Kat.

At what age are you supposed to start getting mammograms....I guess I better go get one done.

Looks like some good news with Hurricane Rina, sounds like she is weakening! Crossing my fingers.

Standard screening should start at age 40. It might be good for you to go to get a baseline.
