I was wondering where you have been, lately. Did your power go out, too? Did you get all that snow?

I can't even imagine being without power for days on end. Man...I (we) are so spoiled today.

Hi Karen! And everyone else too!

I have quite possibly had thus far one of the cruddiest weeks of my entire life. Sunday night I had asked X again to do his chores that he still hadn't done for the weekend at around 9 pm. He proceeded to tell me that I had an attitude and starting punching me repeatedly, mostly to the head. I called 911 and the police and an ambulance came. X went to jail, I decided not to go to the hospital immediately. Monday I woke up feeling nauseous, but went to work. By mid-morning I was vomiting so called the family doctor. I have a concussion. The court decided to relase X without contacting any family members (they had issued an automatic restraining order so he is not allowed to contact me until at least 11/21). X hopped on the light rail and went to the MOA. Luckily he called his dad to say that he was feeling suicidal. He has been staying with his dad since Monday. I feel very conflicted about how to proceed from here, I love my son but I need to be safe.

And of course this week is crazy busy at work, and I'm not feeling particularly motivated.

I am very sorry you have to go through all this, I have absolutly no advice at all, but you do have to protect yourself and that has nothing to do with love.
I did have my Ex arrested as you might remember and I still feel it was the right thing.

Anyway, just very sorry

I am pressing charges. I didn't the last time as he went into the hospital, but I felt that this time there wasn't another option.

I'm hoping that maybe something good will come out of this, that the county will finally cooperate with giving him the additional services he needs.

I hope something good does come of it.....this is an obvious sign he needs help.....but your safety is paramount....make sure you are safe, for sure.

Do what you need to in order to keep yourself safe. Try not to feel guilty about decisions you have to make to protect yourself. (((hugs)))
