I just decorated the walls and roof of a gingerbread house. Tomorrow I need to melt some sugar to glue the pieces together. It's going to be beautiful. And bring the Christmas feeling to my mom. I'm in a Christmas spirit

Nice! I got salmon brining, sausage smoking and jelly bubbling. Just about have my x-mas goodies wrapped up. This may call for a hot buttered rum.

I would leave out the cream cheese, too! Wow, everything sounds soooo good!
So, I'm at KMart buying some toilet paper, not dressed up , just in jeans and sweatshirt (me, not the toilet paper) when this woman comes up to me with a gift box with an olive green necklace in it, and another one identicle with a bronze colored necklace in it. She says "would either of these make a good gift if I include something else with it?" I am thinking "how the hell would I know?" "Who is it for, what is the other thing you plan to include?" Was I wrong to have been evasive? Does this happen to anyone else? It happens to me all the time! I never thought I looked so ....Martha Stewart? Last edited by Auntjan; 12-17-2011 at 11:00 PM.. |

No, you weren't wrong.....it was a strange question, not sure how anyone could possibly answer it adequately without knowing more. I admit I talk to strangers a fair bit when out in public, in stores, on vacation, taxi drivers, etc. But I don't ask them weird questions like that, apropos of nothing, though.I like cream cheese in appetizers. I suppose my palate is not gourmet enough. I am okay with that. (hey sounds like the t-shirt convo! )I was up early for a Sunday....and I am not even going to church! ![]() Turkey is in the oven, stuffed and the remainder of the stuffing in the crock pot. All we have to do is the carrots and potatoes and go to the hall and pick up tables and chairs (I love living in a smaller place and having a niece who works for the town and gives me keys to the hall. )this will be the gravy ![]() ![]()

about 25...including two sets of twins under 3...eek! The cats have been thrown in the basement, the turkey smells wonderful, everything is polished up/cut up/ready to go! Don went to go pick his mom up (she lives about ten minutes away)...now just waiting for everyone to arrive.
