I think in Roni's case it's not a dislike of cream cheese. It's "Less carbs = more meaty snacks to eat."

A pepperoncini would be interesting I must say. Tangy goodness. I think I may try that. I would probably add a pinch of grated asiago or parmesan in there. Parmesan Pepperoncini Poppers! Ohhhh, that sounds good.

It's good with salmon and pepper jelly. The carb count probably not so good.

I mixed those 3 things together once as a spread for crackers. Very dangerous as it was too easy to eat large quantities.

Cream cheese has almost zero carbs.

Almost zero.

It does have some fat.

The wrapped jalapeno's are not the same without the cream cheese. We make them a lot...love 'em!

I woke up at 10:30 this morning! I can't believe it.

Years ago in my first garden after we got married, I had a single jalapeno plant that produced about a dozen peppers. I picked them one day and brought them inside excited to show my new bride.

She was not home at the time so I decide to try my first ever homemade popper. I cut open 2 of them and stuffed them with cream cheese and put them in the oven. I ate them both and decided to make a couple more. They were also good. Next I added cheddar. Wonderful. then 2 more with a bit of ham. Awesome. By the time she got home, I had made and eaten all 12. 2 at a time.

The anticipation of our first garden salsa we grew ourselves was no more. She wasn't impressed.

The whole idea of the garden was to make salsa. I screwed that up in one afternoon. I DID however redeem myself (a little) by dehydrating all the tomatoes and packing them in basil, garlic and olive oil. We had pasta and sundried tomatoes all winter.

All this damned talk of poppers sent me to the store. I got a bag of those mini sweet peppers, parmesan and ricotta cheese, and some bacon. I'm going to mix it with the leftover dungeness crab meat. Should be tasty.

OH! and artichoke hearts! Basically a crab and artichoke dip shoved in a sweet pepper and wrapped with bacon. Yep. That's tomorrow's appetizers for my sister's gathering. Final answer.

I tried to remove my cast today, by myself. My family caught me and gave me crap.

I don't like casts. I think it is a control thing. I'm a bit of a control freak.
