He's a good kid, but he's in a weird transitional stage where he's really testing our patience.

He love sports though, and wants to play all of them. He also asked if he could start learning how to play my guitar, so we've got that to look forward to as well.

How are your boys doing?
Boys are all doing well.
Christopher hopes to be playing lacrosse for central washington club next next year.

Kathy says she is glad she is not a regular or poster when it came to the discussion of age appropriate clothing, saying she worked hard for her 57 year old body and would show it or not as she decides to, and is glad she is old enough not to care what younger bitches think about the way she dresses.

She is kind of opinionated, that love of mine

Kathy, whether or not she "worked" on her body, should wear whatever makes her happy, as should any woman or man, regardless of what they look like. We are our own worst judges, but that should also mean that we know what makes us feel groovy better than anyone else.

Well, that is true, but the many years of working out and the past two years of weight loss and maintenance are meaningful to her. She feels better here than she did some tens of pounds ago.

I think she always looks great

Amen...and Sue I think about you - see my signature line and I know you will understand. Yeah it is kind of a cancer thing and enjoying each day to the max.
(and you to Barb)

I hope your new life in Playa is treating you well.

It's more of a will power kind of thing I'm going for.

I absolutely love them, and agree with you that they are the best, but they're a gateway drug to milkshakes and double quarter pounders and McRibs, all of which have proven to not agree with me within hours over the last year or so, so I'm going to make it a point to try to avoid them as much as possible.

So as someone who has never made a New Year's resolution before, I think I might kinda try one this year. I want to focus on figuring out where I want to be and what I want to do in my soon-to-be empty nester stage. Not sure if that quite counts as a resolution but that's my 2012 goal.

And I agree about the McDonald's fries. Love them but it's hard to have them by themselves.

And all women, and men for that matter too, should wear what makes them happy. Life is too short.

A little sad today, a close friend of the family passed away last night after an extended illness. I'm releived that she's not in pain anymore, but I will miss her very much.

That reminds me of a wonderful quote I saw Susie post yesterday that I thought was great for my kids and many people in our society to read:

"Is fat really the worst thing a human can be? Is fat worse than vindictive, jealous, shallow, vain, boring, evil or cruel? Not to me." ~ J.K. Rowling
