Went to a funeral for a long time friend who grew up in the small town I did. Started to hear the comment you always hear at this type of event, "We need to meet when it is not a funeral". Got me to thinking and I don't think the long past friends you see at a funeral would show up if it was a summer picnic.
A funeral for a friend almost demands you be there, thats why we see the people we have not seen for years. And I think this is a good thing. I met old firneds in there 90's, I met friends grandkids. I had one guy tell me he had heard I was dead a few years ago. By the way this guy put his whole funeral together himself right down to the music and powerpoint picture presentation. Very nice service. |

Maggie- I hope your back feels better soon. Whenever I aggrevate my back, it always seems to be because of shoveling.
Confession: I have never read an issue of Cosmo , but now I'm wondering if maybe I should start.![]() I have booked a pre-ERP implementation trip to Vegas for 4 nights solo. I'm hoping it will still be fun by myself (no, not the Cosmo kind of fun either). |

thanks! My Dad just got back from a 5 day solo trip to Vegas...he LOVES Vegas and says it is the perfect place to go solo! He loves to people watch and it is perfect for that. It's funny he loves it there so much, he doesn't drink even, but he loves the noise and activity. he sent me a pic of himself with two showgirls....this little pudgy 72 year old white haired man, grinning ear to ear at eye level with their bbs ....god I laughed. ![]()
