Thanks, it is getting closer and yes, getting more excited as we are watching the progress, slow though it seems.

We are sitting on a very uncomfortable old futon sipping wine....soooo tired...we packed that whole tin can to the brim tonight...off to shower and sleep...gotta get up and go to work and then come home and do more....hard week!

Hope your arm is feeling better?

West Nile is nasty business, and it's not just from mosquiitos - boys (but not Eagle Scouts!) like to shoot birds (but not songbirds!) with their Daisy Red Ryder BB guns, and the more inquisitive kids will pick up the dead birds to look for killshots, wounds to "treat", and so on, and also to make Indian head-dresses out of the feathers, whether they've shot them or not.

Birds, too, die from West Nile, and are found dead on the ground more frequently than usually, since birds, especially birds of prey and scavengers, including crows, jays, and other corvidae, are the reservoir from whence mosquitos pick up the virus. Kids need to be warned to avoid dead birds, and to tell the parents about them so the carcasses can be reported to the Health Dept for disposal. (Don't just pick them up and throw them in the garbage can - they're incubators.)

I just had a flashback to the 70's and remembering my parents giving us warnings not to touch dead birds. Capguns, beebee guns, minibikes, sliding down hills on cardboard boxes....................climbing trees.

Sweet! a floating replica DeLorean hovercraft IF you're ever in San Francisco, catch a Giants game and you might get a glimpse at some cool "floaters"!

So true! Even worse when you find your arms aren't long enough for you to read what is on your phone.

We will move our bed to the new place, four months is way too long to not have a proper bed- last night we were still sleeping in our old house, and tonight...we had just already packed away our comfy couch and were sitting on that old futon, which is getting moved to Steph's.

I am shocked at how much stuff we packed into that sea can. Impressive how much they actually fit if you pack them properly!

Tonight and tomorrow we will be cleaning and settling in at Steph's...the worst bit is over!

I hear that.

I really need to get that laser surgery, already. What can I do, otherwise, start wearing bifocal glasses.

Sea Can. That's a new one for me. They're called PODS here.

I checked into that Riss....my doc said it wasn't worth it at my age because of the possibility of cataracts....of course you are a lot younger.I wear bifocal contacts and really like them.

I need bifocals, but I'm just not ready to go there. Eye doctor says it's an occupational hazard.

I sometimes think I should move just to get rid of stuff.

Still 6 days until I start PT, just trying to hold on. The arm isn't getting any worse, but it's not improving either. That's what I don't understand, I would expect it to at least get a little better after hardly using it for 2 weeks now.
