OK, thanks to James I can now submit these photos of the beach reclamation project in process. Sorry I don't have any photos of nets, which I gather from others' comments are already in place elsewhere, but which I have yet to see around here. The photos shown here were taken March 30th, for the record. However, they also give a good idea of what the beach looks like again now, after having recovered remarkably well and quickly from the storm we had over Easter that took away a lot of sand.
A tidbit to throw in: this morning, for the first time in the memory of anyone here (including me and a couple of others who have been here for the entire 1-year, 9-month history of the hotel), the city appeared in the form of a huge John Deere tractor with a beach cleaning/leveling apparatus behind, itself of considerable size, to make the beach look better. They declared that they would return tomorrow.
So things are looking up!
