Silly Chica! You're not supposed to tell anyone that!

So, PH is right down by the beach, then?

Wireless internet access too?

Glad you liked Mr. Kiwi.....it's one of our fave places for cheap eats in town. Great breakfast there too even though they only have instant coffee.

Yup! A block from the beach, wireless inside and out. In fact right now, I'm sitting on our little deck right now, having my coffee!

These are pics taken on the deck so you can see what it looks like. The other suites have decks too, but I don't know what they look like.

Day 4

Today was a pretty quiet day. Meaghan and I were up long before the boys as usual, so we put our bathing suits on and headed out for some girl time. We walked all the way down to the ferry and back, running in and out of the water and just behaving like silly girls. I stopped to take a look at the menu at Playa Maya thinking maybe her and I could stop and have breakfast there, but then I realized I didn't have any money. Scratch that plan! We also found the webcam at Playa Palms and stopped to have a wave at everyone.

Back to PH and husband was actually up and moving, so we decided to pack up and hit the beach. Just as we were getting ready to leave, Mike rolled out of bed, (typical 18 yr old guy ) so I said someone would come back for him in an hour or so. He said "Sometime after 12. Grunt, groan, scratch."

So the 3 of us left and got 2 chairs and an umbrella for 14US. Finally husband and Meaghan went back for Mike leaving me with some quiet time on the beach with my book.

There was one girl near us, mid-20's maybe, great body, topless, but that girl is going to look like leather in another 5 years I swear. The colour of her skin is.... well..... dark, I guess you could say. But not naturally dark. She looks like a roast turkey that's been in the oven way too long....

Anyway, husband and the kids finally came back and they hit the water for a bit. Figuring that husband and Meaghan had had enough sun for one day, we pack up and headed back to PH.

Husband wanted to go to Wal-Mart again, so him and Meaghan left and Mike and I lounged around for the rest of the afternoon.

Dinner! I figured we'd head down to Carboncito's for dinner. The food was great, good service, and the salsa tray is amazing!!! 6 different kinds of salsa! My favourite was the pumpkin seed one (I'm pretty sure that's what he said it was). Anyway, the 4 of us demolished the basket of chips in no time.

As we're sitting at the table, Meaghan was looking around and spotted these:

Pictures of Gerald and I that I'd posted on our first day. She was so thrilled to see our pictures on the wall!

Russel stopped by our table and it was great to meet him. Thanks Russel! I forgot to take pictures of the food, but believe me, it was wonderful. After dinner, Russel stopped by the table again with a little gift for Meaghan. A Carboncito's t-shirt!

Back to PH, and I was exhausted from doing basically nothing all day. Nighty-night!

Just catching up with your report. It's really great and I love the live reporting. We stayed at PH a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Joe and Francoise are terrific people. Is the candle shop still there? I think my wife went into that shop almost every day.

It's just to the left of the doors to PH.

The candle shop IS there!! She's got some beautiful stuff! I have also fallen in love with the pottery shop at the corner! If only I were rich......

I haven't met Francoise, but we emailed back and forth for days a few months ago in French about everything you could possibly talk about. Strangely enough, Joe is from Brantford, Ontario which is about 40 minutes from where we live. I used to live there too about 15 yrs ago. Small world I tell ya.

Great reporting Beth! Glad you ended up at Carboncitos! Russell showed us your pics on the wall! We'll be going back there with our group that's coming in Friday. I hope he has a tee-shirt for my son!!

We'll be on the beach in front of Shangri La today. Maybe I'll take a walk down to Mamita's later and look for your family.
