Here is a short trip report from our recent stay at the RPDC July 26-30th. Arrived on Alligant air on time from OKC to CUN. Waited about 20 minutes for our bags. Then only 5 minutes more and we are thru customs with 2 green lights. Transfers via bus that full. I was concerned we were going to be making several stops, as luck had it all passengers were staying at the Gran Porto Real or The Royal. Worked out fine. Had a couple of beers and the 40 minute drive went by with no problem. Arrived at the hotel about 12:30 had my room reservation for #350 in my hand and were taken straight to Anna and got out cold towels, drink and keys and we were off to the room.
Will continue soon. |

Droped off the bags, changed clothes and headed down to Pelicanos for a quick bite to eat. Lunch was good and we were off to the beach for the rest of the afternoon. Had no problem finding a couple chairs under one of the covers. You do have to work your way to the left 25 or so yards to enter the water with risk of fighting the rocks. Not a big deal at all. Ordered drinks throughout the afternoon and service was timely but drinks a bit weak. Seamed to have much better luck dering the week when I would order directly from the bar and request Stoly, Absolut and Crown and watch it being made. Late afternon headed upstairs for a little r&r before dinner. Went to Asiana for dinner and was very good. There are plenty of choices seams everyone could find something they like. Service was good and resturant was not crowed at all. After dinner stopped by the lobby bar for a couple of drinks and listened to the band which was pretty good. Turned in early after a day of travel.
