drdayoff - did you wander over to the Yucatan at all during your stay and how would compare the evening entertainment? is it better to hang out at the Yucatan or Tequila at night or the Playacar? Plus any other comments would be great. - thanks
We(group of six) are booked to go to the Playacar in April for two weeks, one week with our husbands and the second week the guys head home and just the girls stay(yahoo)
Been to the other Rius so looking forward to experiencing this newer one.

Was checking out the the riu website and there is 'tons' of comments posted on their website. http://www.riu.com/index.php
When you are in this website, locate the particular hotel then click on "My Comments"
this will bring up their postings which are specifc to each hotel. Very informative and excellent feedback. In fact when you read all the posts they are all positive. - Good luck in your decision.
