Yeah, that was a real bummer. We got the news directly from the Riviera Maya Tourist Board, too...and the erroneous information is still on their front page.
I was NOT happy. I ended up spending a lot of money that night, and that is just not supposed to happen during Tequila Fest.  Initially the location said "5th avenue and 16 bis" but now it just says "5th avenue."

No more tequila
Umm, sorry about that. I had a few friends in town and we drank every drop of tequila from Cancun to Tulum. Finally immigration showed up and deported them Turns out we were causing some type of future international agave crisis.
Funny thing about the experience . . . none of us still has any chest hair. |

well, official tequila fest or not, i had a great time. met some cool new peeps, hit some bars new to me, and tried a new - and VERY yummy - tequila (thanks heather!).
 so all in all i had fun at tequila fest 08! i still think we should do our own tequila celebration on the beach. everyone brings a bottle and we all try samples from each other! that sounds even better cuz we can just sit and drink . . . on the beach! |

what about labor day weekend? we can infuse an american holiday with some mexican fun! just the way i like it! anyone else interested in tequilita fest 08? when is a good day/night for everyone? ahh . . . sitting on the beach with a bottle of fun !

LOL If you get others I could probably convince my wife to come. She is not one for Hard Liquoir, but if the company is good, I am sure she coul be convinced. then again it is her 30th BDAY suprise, so maybe we will have to play it by ear, but if others are in....I am willing to offer my liver up in order to further science and discover what Tequila maybe best!
