Booked RPDC Again
Ok I know it's early but Funjet had a daydeal special for Mexico, So took advantage of it and booked the Royal Playa Del Carmen for the 3rd time. We will be there Feb. 8-15th 2009!!
Any chance of a upgrade for repeat customer? We always book the royal junior oceanview, and have never been disappointed! |

Almost impossible to get an upgrade without paying for it, but even more impossible for that to happen during high season. Feb. is SO busy, and the RPDC tends to overbook their rooms (especially oceanfront) so having an oceanfront room available to upgrade upon arrival to even if you WERE willing to pay would be a tough deal, let alone the ability to upgrade free of charge.

We too will be at the RPDC for our third time the first week in February. We have booked a Royal Junior Ocean View room as opposed to Ocean Front as last year we had the ocean front but found we just didn't spend enough time in our room to really enjoy it. My main reason for posting though is that we received a call from our travel agencey letting us know that RPDC has changed their policy in that people who book RJOV rooms will no longer be able to use the Royal Chef's Plate restaurant. Only those who book ocean front rooms and any other higher category of room will have access. Whatever! We didn't even eat there last year anyway. Anyone else heard about this?
