You rock!
Seriously, though. I'm an exec at a 'budget' resort in Myrtle Beach, and my TA ratings look very similar to GCB. You wouldn't think all the reviews are for the same property if you look at the good vs. the bad. I know my expectations include a clean room, friendly staff, and a nice pool.. I've never been AI before, but my only expectation is that the food be edible and available at reasonable times. I too chose this resort because I'd like to experience a few things in town, and I don't want to feel guilty for having dropped a big chunk of change and not utilizing the facilities. My biggest concern with the reviews that I've read is reguarding my ability to communicate sufficiently with the staff. I speak/ understand muy poco Spanish, and have read numerous reports that the staff speak little English. I've got a few phrase books and a vauge recollection of my High School Spanish classes, so I hope I'll be able to manage. |

Trust me.......Trust me......Trust me.... You will find the Coco Bay a very
experience ! My wife and I have stayed there twice....beautiful rooms ( all with ocean view ) GREAT swim-up bar very friendly people that DO speak English well.....food ........ok....nothing outstanding but it is an AI , you will NOT go hungry ! Beach is wonderful, also...short walk to 5th ave. or take a taxi right outside the hotel for around $3...30 pesos...interactive games all day....very well worth $$ for a smaller budget AI.Best advice to give you: DO NOT believe what you read on T.A. persnickity rich bastids think every AI should be a Hilton and I'm not talkin' Paris !

Anyway - they can like it or lump it. What brand of beer to they have there? I'm assuming Corona or Dos XX? |
