New INDIAN/THAI restaurant

Hi. On 20th street between 10th & 15th avenues (up from Bleu Hair Salon) is a new place called the 'Garden of Eating' or Jardin de Comiendo ....

It is a small garden restaurant serving breakfast and lunch...then closes for siesta and re-opens for dinner. The menu is written up daily. It is a combination of thai and indian curries. I saw the list of what they will serve and it was very extensive.

I curse my bad spanish ...but I think I got most of the info right.

I bought some thai chicken for lunch but I'm too hot to eat it now. Will let ya'll know how it tastes.

Okay...I ate the food. It was really yummy. White meat chicken in a thai sauce served with rice booked iwth veggies... I must admit it tasted very much like Samm's rice from tacamaron (and cost more) but I enjoyed it a lot.

I will certainly try the Indian food next.

I love curries. I will be going there!

In the constantly-being-updated restaurant thread, the owner has posted a few times about her restaurant, and she just said in the last page or so they have a chef who specialized in Thai and Indian food - I was so happy to hear that. I will need a fix while there.

we ate at Tacacamaron yesterday for early dinner, K2 juice, shrimp broth, giant taco, and saam rice, really good, great price plus I kicked my wife's butt at a game of backgammon

waiting for more reviews on the new place

Curry chicken for late breakfast/early lunch...okay BRUNCH

It was good. Indian food purist will probably be slightly disappointed but for people longing for the taste of curry it was good. The chef is new to Indian cooking but seems to be learning fast.

A tandori oven is on the list of purchases (yeah!)

The restaurant is open from early until noon...then reopens for dinner. The place is lovely. A great garden spot with tables set all over the place - some very private and romantic. I like it there.

Everyone go!!
