I see a bit under $3,000 for 4 nights at Sandos Playacar being correct as well.

VERY nice resort. BIG and can be a bit to walk if the kiddos are really small or just out of stroller age - but nice as you'd ever want. Great pool and restaurant variety. Beautiful open architecture. Long nice beach and they have a good beach club. There are a couple of forum members who go back often - and one who picks the Palladium each year to visit with her grand-daughter.
