Snorkeling
We'll be staying in Playa in March. What is the best snorkeling trip to take and with what dive company? We will have six people 15 years to 54 years old, most novice, one experienced diver. Would like half a day trip. Best price, good reef with coral and types of fish.

We booked a snorkel tour through Olympus tours called "Morning Glory" booked at Adventure Snorkel.
It was $55 that included a "snack" with drinks included. It lasted from 8-12. They take you to a deep reef, and then a shallow reef. It was about 1.5 hours worth of snorkeling. If I had to do it again, I would go somewhere on our own, and go snorkeling, maybe over to Cozumel at Chankanaab (sp?) park or something like that... I didn't think it was worth $55... |

The dive shops we recommend our this site, Abyss and Explora (see the PDC Directory above) both have excellent snorkel tours for less than half that price. Tours at the All-Inclusives tend to be way over-priced.
