NFL 08 Are You Ready For Some Football
Ok it's time for all of you to post about how your team is THE one this year. I see a few contenders a lot of pretenders and a few dark horses out there.
As for my Seattle Seahawks we are right where we usually are--- down to our 4th string Qb tonite, no recievers healthy, a center that is just off of the "I'm hurt" roster and a list of hurting player about 10 yards long. These are just temporary setbacks as most will be ok by the start of the season. I see the Hawks going 11-5 and deep into the playoffs again. They will answer a lot of roster spot questions at tonites game against the Raiders, the biggest one is who will make the team at running back. Beyond Julius Jones and Maurice Morris I like what I have seen from Justin Forsett. Oh and the Cowboys will be an 8-8 team this year. |

I'm ready for some REAL football! I hate NFL pre-season, Patriots'-style. They scare the heck out of me by keeping their first-string mainly out of all the game action, thus making them look like a completely different team from what they really are. They looked pretty terrible in the four pre-season games. I am ready to see Tom Brady and Randy Moss connect for another record-breaking season of touchdown passes!

I know what you're saying and that's the only reason I'm not freaking out right now. I have some nagging doubts about Brady though since he did not play one minute of the pre-season. Is he truly 100% recovered from his foot problem? I know he'll play unless his foot's been amputated, but still, he's been completely low profile since walking off the field in the SuperBowl...just hope all is well. I truly hate the pre-season. Play football!

My poor household loves the Saints. Oh, well. We will love them always. It'd be nice to like a winning team for once though.
I felt sorry for my husband today. He's been so swamped at work he didn't realize that this weekend was not the start of the season, and then to top it all off the LSU game was moved from a late afternoon slot to accomodate evacuations and he didn't get to see some stompin' purple and gold with his dad. |
