I don't have any close calls that I can remeber at the moment....but exactly what happened to you happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago at the lake.
Same thing - he put on his swim shorts and it was in there. I think it got him on the leg or something, but I had never heard a man scream like that. It was funny and not at the same time. This guy is like my little borther - so when he screamed I ran to the bedroom door and said are you all right?! He said DON'T OPEN THE DOOR. We had no idea what happened, but apparently at that point he was naked on the floor and in alot of pain. I'm sure that is NOT a sight I wanted to see! |

Oh jeeze...you just gave me flashbacks to last week, and the bee sting on my bits (ok, guess it's singular, just "bit"
). Stings there, by anything, is NOT a good thing! ![]() Hope you feel better Andy. My bit is still itchy!

Just reading the initial post made me hyperventilate ........ and made me think of the "roach for Christmas" incident over here.
Now that could have been a lot worse, too, if I hadn't managed to get her out of the appartment. Sheesh- I would have had tons of sleepless nights had she escaped. ![]() Glad to hear Andy that you and all parts attached to you are well! |

Glad to hear you are okay.
Andy, next time get the anti-venom shot. Your reaction sounds like a mild case of anaphalaxis. The next time the reaction will be much, much worse. |

Glad you are OK Andy! What a close call! The only thing that has happened to me is a paper wasp sting on my upper leg. I was digging in the garden and all of the sudden I felt excruciating pain. I didn't care if anyone was walking by, I just pulled my shorts down and there was the culprit. Those damned insects hurt worse than yellow jackets.
