I'm sure you will get some good feedback from the forum crew shortly. If you're willing to pay a couple of bucks, you may want to consider ordering a Map Chick Map (
www.mapchick.com ). They show a great layout of Playa Del Carmen and you can see all of the hotels in the various areas and their proximity to other points of interest you hear floating around on these threads. Then you can cross reference the map with your feedback from this board to easily make your choice.
