SOOOO MANY PICS!!!!
So we got to tulum, looked at ruins for like 10min and HAD to get in the water!8.45 and already BLAZING HOT!  I also had to get all the touristy shots! It was cool becuase it was are first ruin and its on such a beautiful site. But a little over rated. A MUST SEE But deff not my most fav ruin site. when we were leaving a 10am we saw all the buses starting to let the masses into the site.We were off to find are next cabana. I had heard cabanas copal is good so we went there. we went up and they were booked up for the week But luckly a guy from oregan comes up and tells the guy at the counter, they are leaving a day early, He looks at me and says "You need to stay in our cabana #5, Its the best one for 350pesos" I looked at the desk clerk and he said i could have it for the night they went going to be there. Cabana copal was are favorate one we stayed in the whole trip.and we only got one night .cabanas copal #5     Aft |

So after we got the cabana we decided to explore some more!
 they did have to clean the cabana, so we had some time. We got in the car and started driving to punta allen for some lunch. It was our first dirt road(one of many). Everyone said the road was always bad, but we thought it wasnt.This is a truck of army guys on the punta allen road.   So after we pass the army truck we start having tons of fun driving the road. It was unreal. punta allen road.     After driving for a while we find our first private beach...ebrake....... ....Park....Swim After we played in the water for a half hour or so, we get back in the car, open a beer, and start driving  We get to the bridge and get out to take in the view. people were fishing baracuda and you could see them right in the water. tons of fish and birds.         It was soo nice..but after a little bit a bunch of jeeps pull up. i look over and see its a tour group going to punta allen. They stop and get out to enjoy the bridge. We get in the car and try to get farther in front of the group. we get down the road and to the town.  So we roll into town, look for somewhere to eat and we couldnt find anything!!!  Once we started looking around for a bit, we saw some locals, and what do we do when we see locals? Ask them where thier favorate place to eat is.. They say its a tiny little family run place.   We sit down and order our food. the family's little daughter comes over and we started talking. She was soo cute. She made alicia and me draw pics of each other in the sand and loved our sunglass's.  The food was amazing!!!!!!i got cheviche(??) and alicia got the fried fish. this is the beach in front of the place we ate at.   After we pay we get going back down the road. at the begging of the road out to punta allen ther is a cenote. so we decide to try and find it.

so after bug spray we found a little restaurant called EL TABANO. A nice couple from holland
 or some place around there, own and run the restaurant. Really good food, but a little pricey.    A couple beers and a end to a good day!!! Last edited by budforever44220; 09-08-2008 at 03:57 PM.. |
