Tylenol 3 Sucks

I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed this morning since the 3 that had come through would never full come in since they were stuck in the bone.

The surgery was fine, and they gave me all the stuff afterwards but the T3's with codeine suck. I don't think they do anything actually.

Anyone else had this experience? Got any suggestions?

You can send me all your extras.
I don't know...they have always worked for me! I use them when I have a bad cough and can't sleep, the codeine stifles the cough.

where is Frank RN these days.

Have you tried seeing if they can prescribe you percocet? I wouldn't recommend going past the time they recommend you take your meds either......otherwise you'll be writhing in pain until the dose kicks in. Hope you feel better.

I have no experience with T3, I was given huge tablets of Vicoden.

Since I cannot swallow pills (it's a phobia of mine), my roommate at the time had to bite them for me (my teeth were too sore)

That was true friendship.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

and this other thing for free called a baggie and a hammer....

Did your Dr. suggest taking Motrin 800mg every 8 hours... it works really well for the swelling? Also try icepacks on the jaw 30min on/off..... lots of cool liquids.. no straws... sleep with your head elevated at least 30-45 degrees.. Percocet and Vicodin don't really work that much for dental/oral pain.. and are highly addictive and can cause major constipation...the pain should be better in 48hrs..... if not call the Dr.. for pain control advice...Ps.. I'm not a Dr. nor do I play one on TV....Good Luck.. You"ll be better soon!!!

One of my friends just said take 1 T3 and 2 advil every 4-6 hours.
It is bit better at this point. Between and 1 and 2 hours after the freezing wore of it was rediculous. I've had the ice pack off for a bit. The T3's might be kicking in now. I can't wait 1.5 my hours and i can take this gauze out.....it's driving me nuts.

Be sure to follow the Dentists instructions for aftercare to the letter. Dry sockets suck toxic waste!

They worked great for my dental pain...and yes they are addictive - that's why I like them so much....and I had no major constipation

So..based on the above - they are winners for me
