Copper jewelry?

Strange question.... is there anywhere in playa that sells copper jewelry? More specifically a plain copper ring? I don't need magentic copper jewelry, but I've always wanted a plain copper ring for my right hand. I love the way copper ages and such. I've had crappy luck finding one up here in the states. I know that Playa has a lot of silver jewelry, but what about copper? Any ideas?

I used to have a copper ring as a kid, and it colored my skin green Maybe you could get a silver ring with a thick copper inlay on the outside if that effect isn't desired? Anyhow, I'd recommend going to a jewelry shop and asking them how much it would cost to make a custom for you. I was surprised how little it cost here so I imagine it'll be even cheaper in Mexico

Actually I already tried that... the jewler quoted me $500! What?

i think it was one of those "I'll quote really high and they won't make me do it" situations. And it totally worked....

Welcome Newbie. Having 2 dogs your name caught my eye, then I noticed that that was your first post. My basset (and avatar) could use a bath and nail trimming right now. We'll he is crying to go out ... go out, so I better close and get him out there. Once again welcome.

I am a dog lover too! My screen name is after my two dogs, lucy who is a shih tzu and lola who is a cockapoo. I am pretty sure they will need some grooming when I get back from Mexico lol my mom and son are lazy when it comes to brushing them and they are keeping them while we are away for two months.

Another dog lover here. No dog photo in the avatar, he's too naughty to post! LOL.

Another Playa jewelry question.....do you know if the nicer jewelry stores give away cervesa's to the guests while you're shopping. They did when I was in Playa a long, long time ago and my husband still talks about the time I bought some jewelry.

Thanks so much everyone for such a warm welcome. Yes I'm a dog groomer and it's a shame that you guys don't live near me so that I can groom your dirty smelly dogs. I have a cocker named Jack and you'd never now that his mother is a groomer by the way he looks. One of these days SOON, I'm gonna have to get him on my table.

I'm so glad I found this forum. I'll be in Mexico the last week in January and the first week in February, so I've been on the internet for hours doing a lot of research trying to find the right places to go and things to see.

Wow lucylola, 2 months in Mexico? What fun! Thanks again all for your kind welcome. I have a lot more reading to do here and I'm learning so much.

I'm a newbie to this site too as a result of my upcoming trip at the end of November. I found this site when I was doing an internet search for photos of our resort; and came across a trip report posted on this site. I've been addicted every since. There is a lot of information available on this site and everyone is so friendly and willing to share information.
