Weight Watchers in Paamul

I don't know if there might be some expats interested, or even tourists who want to keep up with their meetings, but Paamul is starting a Weight Watchers group, if just for the winter.

After looking at all the great foods on your thread "favorite foods" I may have to attend a few meeting on my trip down!!!! Except for the night of having CAKE at Shammy's birthday party.

ooopps I hope the cat isn't out of the bag.

I'd LOVE to join your Paamul group, just one tiny problem.
I'm stuck up here in the frigid north. Now if I can figure a way to be in Paamul every week, I'll be sure and let you know.

Great job, Sharon!! My sister lost a bunch of weight on WW. I'm too undisciplined to track points, etc.

Luckily I have just enough fingers and toes to handle it!

I like it because it is not a rigid plan, I can eat just about anything as long as I plan for it.

Now drinking is another story......

I'm going back to WW tonight. Unfortunately, the meeting is in CT and not Paamul! I lost 15 pounds on WW two years ago and have kept it off. I am going back to remind myself how I lost the 15 pounds and lose an additional 15! A woman I work with lost 165 pounds on WW!!!! If she can lose that much, I can lose a lousy 15!

Sounds like a plan! I have a nagging 20 lbs. I just can't get rid off, so this may be just the thing I need!!! And having other who are doing the same helps....

I will be visiting Playa Del C for two months this year from 25 Jan -25 Mar 2009. I am a member of weight watchers and would dearly love to get all of the info on the WW club that started in Paamul. Having a club there would sure keep me on track.

Welcome peeker1956. I would suggest you start a thread in the Introductions section to let everyone know you're on board and include your WW question. You'll probably will get a better response.

Hi Joyce... hate to tell you, but the WW meetings are no more as there was not enough interest! I think happy hour takes priority in Paamul most of the time.

Joyce, don't despair!! I'm doing WW on-line (I'd never go to a meeting), and when I first joined, it was via a 3-month program, so perhaps that would be a way for you to stay on track while in Playa?? (assuming you'll be online while you're there). You could just do the 3-month intro and then quit it at the end of that (the on-line part, that is). With me, my monthly charge kicked in after the initial 3 months.
