I mean, we wouldn't want to actually HAVE a budget before starting a FY.
Dingy Harry and the Senate have gone over a 1060 days without submitting a budget.

What possible reason could there be for this behavior?

If I had been even a week late in submitting my departments budgets I would have been fired. (Aha, there's an idea!)
This is looking really bad for Romney. Those "mischief" votes from Dems for Santorum are not going to seem so funny if this guy is actually the nominee.

Do you think Newt will be a party player and drop out? Or does he actually help Romney by making this a perpetual three way in states to come where the delegates are not winner take all?
No, I don't think Newt will drop out since he still has his sugar daddy PAC support. He is too arrogant to drop out until the money runs dry. He truly thinks he can negotiate at a brokered convention. I have no idea what he will use as bargaining chips or leverage. Also, remember that Newt makes his living writing books and giving high paid speeches. All this publicity can only help his future earnings. There is no downside for him. Now, if his boy from Vegas decides to cut off his allowance, than he might drop out. However, it won't be for party loyalty.

Romney still wins when he loses from a delegate math standpoint. The upcoming Illinois primary will be huge. This is not the way that Romney probably expected this to go. He has to be looking at Santorum with total disbelief that he is actually losing to this guy in primaries.

Why break a democratic trend? Spend send spend and no budget. Isn't that how they work?

So it's not true? I just heard someone talking about it at breakfast this morning and found it interesting. Another Obama historic first perhaps?

Yup.

Erick Erickson:

Newt Gingrich last night proved he is neither a regional candidate nor a spoiler. His influence is headed into Ron Paul territory. Gingrich could not win the deep south. He won Georgia and South Carolina. A Catholic yankee from Pennsylvania won Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and will probably win Louisiana. Even with Gingrich in the race, Santorum beat Romney. He was no spoiler. Gingrich’s final act could be king maker by getting out and endorsing, but pride cometh before the fall. Gingrich is in mid fall. What a sad end to a brilliant legacy. But his campaign is over. All we need is Haley Joel Osment and M. Night Shyamalan to point out to him he is dead.
Quote:
Like sterile accountants counting pennies, the Romney camp keeps counting delegates. That can get them to a win, but it will be an uninspiring win. There is little enthusiasm for Romney with the base. In heavily Republican Madison County, MS, voter turn out barely topped 7,000 voters. In 2008, when the GOP contest was done and everyone knew McCain would be the nominee, 10,500 people still turned out to vote for McCain. Yes, more Republicans turned out to vote McCain in 2008 than Romney in 2012. That’s a problem. That’s a lack of enthusiasm.

The problem is two fold now. The base doesn’t like Romney, but the base doesn’t really like the other options either. At the same time, the base does not want this primary to end.

The roller coaster continues. The one sure thing out of this is that, though Romney is not becoming a better candidate as the primaries continue, Rick Santorum sure is.

Good gravy, are GOP primary voters that peeved about their choices that they'd actually nominate Sanitorium?

I don't know if it would go that far and nominate a failed junior Senator with a limited record of success. You have the whole ABO thing and now the ABR thing. The problem for the GOP is that primary voters are generally conservative. I still think that you will see a brokered or open convention before you would see Santorum nominated. The underwhelming enthusiasm created by these guys is overwhelming.

This on CNN warmonger news??? WOW Cafferty is the only guy with half a brain on that MSM Propoganda trough.

CNN’s Jack Cafferty is right. It is the military industrial complex and its hip pocket politicians that are responsible for dragging out the war in Afghanistan. He says it is time to bring the troops home.
It’s refreshing to see this sort of commentary from CNN despite the fact it pushed government propaganda for the invasion in the first place and is now paving the way with all sorts of absurd government and neocon propaganda for an attack on Iran and Syria.
It’s called playing both side of the fence.

Retard Slang: Disparaging
Retarded Slang: Disparaging
Scum: Rude and derogatory
N word Slang: Extremely Disparaging and Offensive

I know everyone here knows the difference in magnitude, just as they know the way words are used is more significant than the words themselves. I also know some people like to pretend there's no such difference, because they get their kick from doing that - good for them.

I don't even have an issue with your habit of cursing and being offensive whenever you lose an argument, you're like that, that's cool.

roni's action though, is sort of inexcusable.
