I have not paid much attention to the Occupy movement, but their demonstrations near my office in Portland have not seemed particularly angry.

It has been a long time since there has been one, though. I thought they were pretty much done.

Neither, I was a Psychiatric Technician in the Navy towards the end of the Vietnam War and worked in mental health services as a civilian for a decade or so.

Liked Thomas Szaz and R.D. Laing, of the anti-psychiatry movement, but there are folks who display classic symptons and could use a bit of help.

Here is one thing Szaz said:

Quote:
Doubt is to certainty as neurosis is to psychosis. The neurotic is in doubt and has fears about persons and things; the psychotic has convictions and makes claims about them. In short, the neurotic has problems, the psychotic has solutions.

They were screaming horrible things at the police officers here no more than 4-5 feet from them. Very angry and very verbally abusive. That and a 14 year old girl was raped at the camp. Weren't the Dems behind them for a while? Obama and Pelosi?

Go post it on the occupy thread. I did not see any behavior like that in downtown Portland. I am sure there is a lot I did not see, though.

I have no idea what politicians may or may not have supported some of the ideals of the Occupy movement, nor did I notice any core ideals emerge from there. I am quite sure that no politician supported the rape of a 14 year old girl, or abuse toward police officers and I think it is silly to try to suggest, as you just did, than any public officials did support such behavior.

you would think somebody who had so-called experience would recognize "denial" when they had it.

The opposition Congress blocks the President's agenda to solve our country's problems and then blames him for not solving the problems quickly. It now takes 60 votes to get anything passed vs. a simple majority. This is legal if not efficient government.

It seems appropriate that the President should then push the legal bounds of Executive authority in an effort to accomplish his agenda despite the efforts of the opposition to block all of his progress...We have GOT to get some things done in this country....We Can't Wait..

Shift on Executive Power Lets Obama Bypass Rivals

Do you think that President Nixon supported the violence at Kent State? Do you think that President Reagan although he supported the Contras in Nicaraugra and Honduras. That he supprited the heavy handedness of those regenes. Including the killing of the three Nuns?

The POTUS hires the cheif spokesman for the US Treasury. The chief spokesman was convicted if tax evasion. The for chief spokesman for the US Treasury is ultimately head if the Secret Service.

The POTUS hires the chief spokesman for the GSA. The Chief spokesman before being hired by the POTUS was convicted of embezzlement.

Do i see a emerging pattern with the hires of the POTUS?
