Well, I guess the announcement gets O back "in" with the Hollywood crowd and all its millions....

But Mr. Obama actually did bare his soul unintentionally today (perhaps the Biden disease is catching) with his astonishing characterization of American fighting men and women, whom he referred to as “those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf.” Really?

Most Americans thought they were fighting for the country, not on Barack Obama’s behalf. Slip of the tongue, to be sure, but can one think of another president who’d have made it? They are fighting under his command, under his orders, to be sure, but this particular locution is offensive and solipsistic.

I have always thought they were serving and fighting on all of our behalf, and they were fighting at the President's command.

I don't get the disbelief, I guess.

I think it is excessively nit-picky by Mr. Kristol, whose good judgement also made him one of Sarah Palin's strongest and longest acting champions. He expressed disappointment when he finally came to accept that she would not be a good 2012 Presidential candidate.

Bill Kristol, the influential Weekly Standard editor, is a famously opportunistic pundit. So it’s very bad news for Sarah Palin that even Kristol appears to have given up on a Palin presidential campaign this year.

Everyone can speculate as to why he came to the decision he did, or what's in his heart, but I love that this is being talked about now. I doubt the conversation will cause anyone who supports either side strongly to change their mind, but it might just make some who are on the fence now take the leap to what I consider the correct stance.

The Washington Post reports that 20% of his top money bundlers are reported to be admitted gays, but I'm sure all of this had nothing to do with his recent change of heart. He's just way too much of an up front guy for that.
