Silvergirl and the Virgin do a "Chick's Weekend"

Not really going to do a trip report. Just some comments on a really fun "chick's weekend".

It started out as 6 of us chicks and they were dropping like flies.

Ended up only being Grace and I...........but of course we sucked it up and made the best of it.

Where there is Grace (PlayaVirgin) there is ALWAYS fun! If you haven't already read my trip report below......that will explain lots.

We booked the same hotel in Providence that I had stayed at when we met our friends visiting from New York.

Really pretty rooms.....

They upgraded us to a view of the Capitol Building:

I brought my own "mini bar"!

The plan was to stay for just one night. We had dinner ressies at Siena's which we made a week ahead and were lucky enough to get in.

Ummmmm, NOT!

We hit the bar Zooma's first for a martini. At $12 bucks a pop....I'm glad I brought my own pre-cocktail cocktails!!

So, like I said.......we were supposed to stay only one night............but.............

But.......the first night turned into kind of a disaster.

Grace forgot to eat all day..........not a good idea. It started out really fun. Just a few sips of a martini and she was "on"!

For those of you that don't know or haven't seen the other trip report (below), the Virgin (PlayaVirgin) is famous for her videos.

After unpacking, we made a martini and took a few videos for your viewing pleasure.....

And in this one.........ummmm.........I think she may be taking up karate???

So, you can see our night started reeeeeally really early. By the time midnight rolled around........we were in big trouble.

We asked around about where to go after dinner. Any clubs around for "our age" people. Providence is a huge college town and we really didn't want to be in that kind of club. We asked everyone we came across and got a bunch of suggestions......with one club seeming to be mentioned by most all of them. We took that as a sign. This place was 25 and older. Well, I thought that was great. Got a ride over to the club, paid the $8 cover and walked into geriatric/divorcee/ comb over/ polyester suit wearing heaven. OMG.......I'd say we lasted about 20 minutes and knew from the get go this wasn't our scene. Waited in the rain for a taxi and pissed about loosing our $8bucks, we headed back to the hotel. They have a really nice bar there but we sat for maybe 15 minutes and nobody wanted to wait on us. Gave up and decided to call it a night. Grace was in some rough shape anyhow. Another cocktail and I would have been carrying her up to the room.

We got back to the room and she said she was just going to lay her head on the pillow for a minute.........

I wished I had taken pictures. She began to snore......and fully dressed, jacket and all....with makeup and contacts on....she never moved from that spot. When morning came, I tip toed around with the flashlight to start the coffee going and she whipped off the covers announcing she was dressed and ready to go! Fully recovered and ready for a new day!! We talked about what a crap night we had. We wanted to be somewhere with good music, nice people and have some girlie fun......we can't go home now. We NEED to have fun.

We decided to stay another night!!

We made sure all was well at home and went downstairs to book the second night. We had brought clothes just in case.

Had a yummy breakfast compliments of the hotel and headed to the huge mall for a day of shopping.

I loooove shopping. Grace hates shopping.

This mall has 3 huge floors of stores. We spent most of our time at the cosmetic counter in Nordstroms deciding what to buy to get the free gift being offered. I love makeup too!

After that we ventured off into the huge mall. A few steps in.........what do ya think we saw?????

Hair for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the saga of the hair continues!

This place I swear was meant to be! Whatcha think, Shammy??

And this is a double whammy of "hair"!
I think I've got me a new avatar!!

We finished up shopping........or rather wandering aimlessly.......and headed out for some fresh air. Hard to come by in downtown Providence, but......

As we walked back to the hotel, there was a demonstration in front of the Capitol building for equal rights.

Back to the hotel in the beautiful lobby.....

And back to the room...........lets try a margarita tonight... Oye!

The Virgin swears she'll be fine. She's eaten a hearty breakfast and ready for round two!!!

In the lobby ready to head for dinner.......

Dinner at Medeterranios (very Italian)

We had pomegranate martinis with dinner followed by a very strong shot of lemoncello. I started to worry about Grace.....after last night, but she insisted she'd be fine. Not a good idea to switch liquors.

After dinner we went to Camille's. Another fine Italian restaurant but with live music in their lounge and a great bar with awesome bartenders and fun people. Grace has now switched to White Russians.

We closed the place. Sorry no pics.......

From there we ended up back at the hotel bar until about 3 and had a blast with all the hotel staff that were partying after work. Bellman, valets, manager......we all had a blast. Literally were thrown out around 2 or 3......can't remember. Got back to the room and didn't feel so good. Guess it was my turn. Sometimes alcohol makes me so wired and my brain race that I can't sleep. This was one of those nights. I think I may have gotten an hour or two the most but it was worth every painful moment.

Once again.......we had a blast! Life is good.

This trip was a lesson for me.

NEVER, EVER, EVER start drinking without having a decent meal well before. I was so trashed wondering how I will get from here to there. Kim asked me what she could do to help me. I thought, what a sweetheart she is for caring. I kindly asked her to give me her arm just so that I can secure myself better for the steps I had to take. She replied, NO F!!!! WAY, WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY, EVERYONE WILL THINK WE ARE AN ITEM. Yep! I was on my own, not even a finger. It was amazing how I never even had a hangover and was ready for some more the next day. The next evening it was Kim's turn...she got no mercy from me. I slept like a baby

and she moaned all night long

Vegas sounds like something we will be have to do. YOU HEAR THAT KIM, CAN YOU HANDLE IT?
