Hi Harry, welcome to the forum! November 27 is US Thanksgiving, but it is not a holiday in Mexico and for the most part, things will be business as usual. Some restaurants, in an effort to cater to their US American clientele, will have a traditional US Thanksgiving menu on special: Turkey, bread stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.

Have a great trip.

We stayed at that resort two years ago Thanksgiving week and they served a really large traditional Thanksgiving dinner. They had the most enormous turkeys I have ever seen! Even though you aren't American I imagine you would enjoy the meal, although, they served an interesting version of mashed potatos---white and sweet mixed.

Harry, if you would REALLY like to experience a US American Thanksgiving, you will have to do the following:

1. Start drinking by noon at the latest, preferably some bad pink wine that came from a box.
2. Eat and eat and eat until you cannot eat anymore, then unbutton your pants and eat some more.
3. Sit groaning on the couch because you overate and watch American football until you fall asleep sitting up.
4. Get into a loud fight with your relatives about one or more of the following topics: politics, American football teams, the price of gas, and who works harder than whom.
5. Eat some more later in the evening and roll yourself into bed, thankful that Thanksgiving comes but once a year.
