Yucatan days & nights - The escapades of Ron & Kathy (et al)
Hi everyone,
I will go ahead and get this started while Kathy is back at the apartment readying herself for some beach time. We are on Isla Mujeres having a nice, relaxing time. Today is our 3rd full day here, and we have today and tomorrow. Wednesday morning we take the ferry back to Puerto Juarez to hook up with our travel companion for our first couple of days in Merida, that will feature a trip to Uxmal. Back home it is freaking cold and snowy. We are glad we are here. There will be photos some day. We have taken quite a few so far. Until then, vaya con las Diosas |

Right on
I too have been waiting for this TR. BTW are you taking the bus to Merida or renting a vehicle? We are hoping to make that trip in Feb and were thinking of renting a vehicle. How long is it from Playa to Merida?

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, prize winning author of Love in the Time of Cholera, wrote a book titled "Memorias de Mis Putas Tristes"
I will paraphrase the title for tonight's episode of our trip report: Memorias de Nuestros Poo-poos Triste But the lomotil may be starting to work ![]() Good thing cause it is 3 am |

Today was a much better day, though the ill feelings did not start until yesterday evening. We just got back from our last isla sunset for this trip. We have some better than average photos that we will around the new year
Tomorrow Susie is picking us at Puerto Juarez and we are all headed to Merida for the next leg of the escapade Thanks for all the well wishes!! |
