Las Brisas is another favorite, for sure. I always get the fish skewer there, which is delicious and very good value for money.
Also try El Faisan y El Venado on the highway close to Juarez for some good authentic Yucatecan food. |

Be sure to try it! Sharon (Queencityfan) and I went there for dinner after we had been at La Taberna for drinks. We ordered the mariscos (seafood) platter and it was so gooood! The highlight of the dinner was the ten-year old bartender. He makes some delicious margaritas and piña coladas. Also, he is very generous with shots of tequila. The meal and drinks were so good and inexpensive that we returned with Nerak, Equinenut, and Kathy.Web a few nights later.
Just don't order the rice and shrimp. It may have been an off-night but it wasen't that flavorful. The shrimp was very fresh, but the rice needed to be more savory. |
