Ultrasound this afternoon. Boy or Girl?

For those that missed it in the Random thought thread, my wife and I are 20.5 weeks pregnant, and go in for another ultrasound this afternoon.

Background: We had a little "hiccup" early on, and we're doing monthly ultrasounds 'til the due date to make sure all is well. As of last month, everything was looking great. The doctor placed her on what he calls "modified bedrest," which is basically just taking it easy, no lifting or on her feet more than needed. She has been able to do most of her normal day-to-day activities, but the kicker has been the morning sickness this time around. She's finally starting to feel better, from what I can tell, but still has little spells here and there.

All in all, everything is going great, and we're really anxious for today's ultrasound.

Baby was uncooperative a month ago, and we were unable to determine gender at that time. So here's to hoping all is going well still, and that we can figure out what color to paint the new nursery.

So, whattya think?

Thanks! I slipped it in the Random thought thread last month. No worries!

I, too, think it's a girl. Just intuition...

Congratulations! I think the most important thing is that it's a baby. And even if you think you see the gender on the ultrasound: there are still the cases where a little finger was deceiving.

if your wife is like me and is so much sicker with this pregnancy than when she carried your boy, then I'm going to vote girl... so here's hoping for a little hamburger on your sonogram check!

At this point, after our early scare, that is the boat we're in too. The first five minutes will be checking everything else to be sure we're still doing well, then we can breathe a little easier and smile more.

What we're worried about is seeing a second little one, as my wife is a twin, and twins are in both sides of our bloodlines...

Ugggg...you sound like my mother in law

I might as well add an addition to the house if it's a girl, just for all the clothes she'll bring over...

Not a bad thing to sound like my MIL, don't worry

She's a shop-a-holic though, and has already bought a few outfits for both genders...just in case

dude, let her run... if anyone was willing to buy stuff for my kids, I let them! assuming she's not the kind to throw her generosity back at you...

I'm a twin. Doesn't it usually skip generations if it is to happen?
