Is there an age limit for a man to call women cougars?

I am just confused.


I have been called a cougar....by guys my own age, too jokingly, of course, they are friends of my husband and they call all of us ladies that when we are dressed up to go out or whatever.... but it ticks me off, THEY think it's a compliment! uh, it's really not!

plus I think a cougar technically is supposed to be a divorcee and yes, hitting on a younger guy. Again, NOT me!
