I don't think I can help you.

I focus on places with fewer than 20 rooms and very few amenities

Obviously you are looking at A/I's. What do you like in a resort? What don't you like? This may help you narrow your choices down.

i
*think* ive decided on the grand sirenis...
it was a toss up between that and the el dorado seaside..
but the seaside doesnt have a buffet, i dont think, and i was worried the dining would be too formal for times we just wanted something quick

the AI resorts i listed all pretty much the same price..

the main thing i want is a good stretch of beach, we're not huge pool people..

so yeah
i found a great forum on the GS place so that really helped

thanks!

Warning...the beach at the Grand Sirenis isn't all that nice. It's very rocky!!! The part you sit on is better, but water entry? Look out.

i have..
whats the deal with the star rating?
grand palladium kantenah has 5 star
barcelo mayan colonial has 4 and a half
{{this is thru the travel company ive been looking at }

but the barcelo is a little more expensive than the palladium. {not hugely}
but i wonder what the difference is..

im probably nickel and diming here :/

any ideas?
