The Royal PDC online check-in question

Hello,

Has anyone else ever attempted do the on-line check in to secure the room you wanted before the 48 hours? If so how long in advanced and did you have in problem @ arrival?

It doesn't have to be 48 hours from the scheduled check in time, just 48 hours from your arrival day.

We just got into the system to secure a room for our stay when we arrive on the 6th....Now we're just competing with the crowds for a better room as they become available!

It's not possible to do the online check in until 2 days prior to arrival.

Thank you for your reply. How do you compete for a better room? That sounds like valuable information.

We have a while before we go but.... I was just trying to possible push the system.

There always seems to be a fair amount of confussion about the 48 hr rule...Just assume that are due to arrive on a Sunday...Now assume that you arrive at 12:01 am on that day( even tho you don't)...Count back 48 hrs and you can check-in...So on the prior Friday , you can checkin at 12:01 am Central..I think I got that right..

You can select a room, but , you can check back and see if there are better rooms available and change it at that time...Also, you will need a credit card and provide that info...

Do you need a credit card if you booked with a operator, like Funjet?
Or just if you booked the hotel with Real Resorts?
Do they place a hold on your card?

Yes a CC is required for on line check in...I use FJ also..
Not sure about a hold on your CC, never happened to me the 2 times I went to RPDC..
