I just went thru alot of hotels in Playa to fnd rates. Depending on where you want to be, in town,on beach or and AI. There are soooo many choices. When doing searches and reading reviews I found a few I liked. Of Course Tortuga and Luna Blue, Fusion, Mimi Del Mar, Jungla Caribe and Lab Nah.

Big fan of Posada Freud. Excellent location, reasonably priced. Every room I've seen has been very nice - they have style & charm that you usually don't find in budget accommodations. My faves are the suites #3,4,5. Suites #3 and # 4 face Siesta Fiesta next door - they have live music and some have complained about it but frankly it has never bothered me one bit. It's nice to open the french doors to your balcony and listen to the music when you are getting ready to head out for the evening. By the time you get back, the music's done (usually around midnight). Actually, last summer we were the ones being shushed
Suite #5 has a gigantic balcony (more like an outdoor living room) that is right on 5th - great for people watching. Even the standard rooms are nice. I think its one of the best values for your dollar in Playa.
