Are you sure?

Somebody has just told me that it was between 60F-64F or 16C - 18C.

Can somebody verify it please?

Somebody lied. As of 5:00 PM GMT today, surface water temp ranged from 79 to 81 degrees, according to weather.com.

Is that out of the cold or the hot water?

I am checking the honesty of some forum members...

Apparently, it is in short supply.

I have just found out that the water is indeed around 64F.

Why would anyone not tell the truth?

How can a dive computer be dishonest? ???

What will Babaloo or Rob gain by giving you the wrong temperature?

In your back yard swimming pool perhaps. You would apparently rather take the word of "somebody" over information provided by the Mexican National Weather Service, Weather.com, and locals who are on "on site." Get a grip. If you can't handle the truth, and good information, politely provided, then take your questions elsewhere.

are you talking about playa del carmen? it seems for some strange reason that you fail to understand we here are in the carribbean sea, if you have every been here and swam in the carribean sea you would know it aint 64 degrees...you should listen to people who spend a great deal of time here...babs lives here and he is right. I am a commercial diver in canada and i know what 64 degree water is.....it aint 64 here
