Returning to Mexico

Anyone who read my last trip report "The 2 day vacation, having a heart attack in Mexico" might remember that I said I didn't think I would ever go back to Mexico. It was just so overwhelming being in a foreign country during a life threatening emergency.
I guess my memory is shorter than I realized because I just made reservations to go to the Iberostar Grand in just 2 1/2 weeks. The planets seemed to line up and I became convinced it was "meant to be" - I'm never this spontaneous.
I've learned a little Spanish, at least I can say "I need help."
I will write a trip report when we get back. Hopefully, NO drama this time.

I did read that but not past the initial stages. I'm glad to hear you are well! After that, it made me wonder about something like that happening to me so far away. I was a little anxious on our trip actually. Then I thought, I could sit at home and wait for for something to happen or live life and hope for the best. I chose the latter, I am glad to hear you are doing the same! Have fun.

How exciting!! Why waste precious time being "safe" at home when you can be enjoying some fine rum on the beach in Mexico??

Life's waaaay too short to miss out on the good stuff.......

Just me and the Z. He's doing great and looking forward to it. I don't think he'll need it, but if he does, we know an awesome cardiologist in Cancun

I guess I just love Mexico too much to stay away.

I am so glad to see you going back...a medical emergency in another country is stressful remember these things can happen anywhere....I am not trying to down play anything that happened because I know it was serious...just happy you two wonderful people are going on with your life....it is wonderful to see hope you have a wonderful stay....we will be back june 30th can't wait to go!!!!

Yea, pretty much, once I got a grip - a couple months after we came home, I realized, it would have been big time stressful no matter where we were. And with the exception of that one phone call telling me to come back to the hospital (when I was pretty sure he had probably died and they didn't want to tell me over the phone) the important things they needed to communicate to us were communicated.

And I reassure myself that if he needs a cardiologist while we are there, we know an awesome one now!
