There's some fishy stuff going on at the ******. We were there from the 5th to the 14th and a bartender who we are friendly with from our last several trips told us that there was a big uproar among the staff due to wholesale management and staff changes that were under way.
He indicated that Rick (who I understand to be the owner of the business but not the property) had hired a new General Manager - a French Guy - and that the new GM had fired a lot of long time employees. It sounded like the entire staff was in an uproar. During the time we were there, Rick was supposed to have been in the US.
We also noted that the quality of the BP property and service had degraded noticably since our last stay last November. We were without hot water for most of the stay, and without any kind of water on a consistant basis.
The restaurant service was lousy (imagine that) and there just didn't seem to be as many staff available as in past visits.
By the way, while we were there, there was a big wedding reception at the BP restaurant on the 8th, so they are still getting it done, just with a lot of confusion I guess.
