I did think "Benjamin Button" was "Forrest Gump-like." It was just a bit, uh, schmaltzy. It was OK, I don't regret seeing it. And Brad Pitt, by the time he gets young-looking again, he's so pretty it's practically painful, but...meh.

I liked it much more than I thought I would.....Clint was incredible...I think the Academy just thought he was not as pretty as Brad!

Hancock was a pretty good flick. Looking forward to seeing Gran Torino as soon as it comes out for rental.

Saw Revolutionary Road last night---it was really good, but completely depressing.
Saw Gran Torino today, fantastic movie what was a lot funnier than anticipated, but also made me cry.
I want to see Slumdog Millionaire next weekend

Don't laugh at sctx and the "Tortilla Heaven", actually a little indie movie and quite entertaining. Think of a Cohen or Farrelly bros., but no violence. (and that usually stops me right there)

That's funny you mention that. I was watching an Entertainment News show last night and they pointed out all the similarities between Gump and Button. I still want to see it though...I try to see as many Academy Awards nominations for Movies as I can.

Mike and I both said that although the movie was different, it reminded us of Forest Gump somehow...

The one thing that bugged us was if Button was a little, baby-sized old man when he was born, why wasn't he a large, adult-sized baby when he died?
