Caught an old movie (2003) on HBO on demand. House of Sand and Fog. Loved it. IMO Ben Kingsly should have won an Oscar for this film.
Dark and sad but so good.

Just watched Bill Cunningham New York. Great documentary about fashion, New York itself, and a wonderful man who had a gift, an art, and a humble, eccentric way about him.

I heart eccentrics.

I know I am repeating myself since I've posted about this movie a few times on this thread, but Ginger, if you like documentaries and you love eccentrics, then you MUST see this film:

Marwencol

The book (by Andre Dubus III) is very good, too.

Thanks! I will check it out, maybe watch it this weekend. I do love docs. and eccentrics, even better if both are together!

Watched a Canadian movie, Starbuck, last weekend- really good!

And I watched New Year's Eve last night, another Garry Marshall movie with a TON of celebs in roles and cameos, similar to his Valentine's Day- I liked it.

Just watched The Kids Are All Right on HBO. I liked it. Perfect role for Mark Ruffalo, though I felt kinda bad for him at the end.

He knocked it out of the park as Bruce Banner in The Avengers, IMO.
