I just watched The Professional, which I had never seen before. What a great movie!!! Both Natalie Portman and Jean Reno were great in it.

I want to see this! This subject is so interesting to me. I'm gonna have to look for this at the video store, where I haven't been in ages since I got HBO.

One of my faves. Gary Oldman is demented.

Traveller: A documentary that is a collection of photos taken by Allen MacWeeny and shown within his book "Irish Travellers Tinkers No More.

"They are a subject of Yeats’s poetry. They are said to have forged the nails for Christ’s crucifixion, and been cursed by God to
wander the world until Judgment Day. Once called Tinkers and now known by their preferred designation of Travellers.
Distrustful of “settled” people, endangered by restrictions on their movements, subject for centuries to rumor and legend, they

They are the Travellers, Ireland’s indigenous nomads"

The documentary takes you beyond photos when these people "step out of these photographs and tell what they did with their lives in the long interval."

The new Batman movie was not good IMHO. Fantastic premise, decent acting by many of the cast but a script run amok and kinda loopy directing. A lot of explosions and a women in latex w/high heels which is always a positive.

I posted this in the random thread too, but I went to see Magic Mike with some girls from work last night.

The movie, aside from the stripping scenes, is not that great- crappy acting (and I do mean CRAPPY) and little plot...yawn

But that Channing Tatum is really a great dancer, and 2 hours of drooling over these abs shouldn't disappoint any hot blooded women. OMG.

We did giggle a lot, but we also went for dinner and drinks first- which helped!

hee hee...

DO NOT watch the latest Underworld movie! As nice as kate Beckinsale looks in a skin tight outfit, I had to turn the movie off within the firt 10 mins!

My wife went to see the Magic Mike movie and was drooling about it. I asked her what the big deal was since she had her own Magic Mike at home...for some reason she just rolled her eyes!

Saw Ted tonight. I liked it, there were some real laugh out loud scenes. There were 2 old couples in front of us watching, stone silent. When the movie ended the guys wife starts yelling at him. "What is wrong with you taking us to see this" and "this is the last time you get to pick the movie". Poor bastard, she yelled and him all the way out the cinema. I think he is probably a little passive-agressive and took her there knowing she would hate it.

There was an older couple (mid 70s, at least) sittting in front of us when we saw Ted, too. It was similarly awkward as neither one so much as chuckled throughout. Needless to say, my husband and I laughed our asses off at the flick.

And now, perhaps, you at least will appreciate this post I made after seeing the movie: link

I remember your post about the parsnips, so I was waiting for it. It did not disappoint. The Boston girl orgasm scene had us laughing. Ted is a smartass, I want a Ted.

Watched Wanderlust last night...it was actually pretty good, better than I expected. Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd have great chemistry. Even better than the chemistry between she and her real-life boyfriend Justin Theroux who is also in the movie.

Paud Rudd must be into really clean living or have a great plastic surgeon, he is looking younger in ever movie.

It was very funny, but I have to admit I felt a little guilty laughing at a few gags.

Would have to 100% disagree with the not good part, by far and away the best Christian Bale series. I do agree Anne Hathaway looks good in everything and sounds so sexy.
I was looking forward to this and was not let down.
